Move Employee Division Overview |
When an employee is transferred from one division to another, this utility allows an authorized user to also transfer most of the employee’s master records. You may also transfer YTD earnings history if the new division has the same EIN (government reporting is EIN based).
Note
The employee will remain in the original division with a status of “inactive”. Vault users may then run the Purge Inactive Employees function to delete the employee completely from the original division.

To transfer employee records to another Division, click on Move Employee Division to display the Move Employee Division page.
The Move Employee Division page has four tabs for specifying employee move parameters:
An Employee Information tab listing sending Division employees selectable for transfer. (The other tabs are unavailable until you select an employee.)
A Payroll Information tab allows employee payroll information to be auto-assigned.
A General Information tab reflecting Employee Master data that may be moved, not assigned, set to target Division defaults, or set to existing values.
An Other Information tab reflecting Employee Master drop-down master data that may be moved or not.
