Benefit Group Management |
Clicking on the Benefit Group Management icon displays the Benefit Group Management page. For an authorized user, this function, together with Benefit Rule Management, specifies the criteria for automatic assignment of employees to benefit plans. |
The system displays a list of current groups for reference purposes. You may view, edit or delete a group, and create new groups.
Click to display the Criteria Selection page. First, enter a Group Name for the new group. Next, select the criteria on which membership in the group is based.
For example, a benefit plan may be available only to a particular division or sex, in which case you would select Division and Sex as the criteria.
After criteria selection, clicking the arrow button displays any additional parameters available to you for the first criteria selected. Subsequent use of the arrow button advances to your next criteria selection. |
DivisionYou may select which divisions to associate with the Group.

Selecting the Divisions check box includes all divisions in your company in the group. |

You may click to expand the list and select individual divisions to include in the group. |
|
LocationYou may indicate which locations to associate with the Group.
|

Employee Home DepartmentYou may indicate which departments to associate with the Group. |
|
Job TitleYou may indicate which job Title(s) to associate with the Group. |
|
Employee StatusYou may indicate which employee Status to associate with the Group. |
|
Payroll CycleYou may indicate which Payroll Cycle(s) to associate with the Group. |
|
Payroll TypeYou may indicate which Payroll Type (or both) to associate with the Group. |

AgeYou may specify what Age(s) to associate with the Group. You may supply just one value for the range or both values (e.g., Minimum Value and Maximum Value). If you supply just a Minimum Value, any employee with criteria greater than the minimum will be deemed eligible and vice versa for the Maximum Value.

SexYou may indicate which Sex to associate with the Group. |
Hours WorkedYou may specify a minimum/maximum number of worked hours to associate with the Group. The list of Applicable Hours reflects all Earning Codes set up on the Company level. |
You may supply just one value for the range or both values (e.g. Minimum Value and Maximum Value). If you supply just a Minimum Value it will mean that any employee with criteria greater than the minimum will be deemed eligible and vice versa for the Maximum Value. You may further qualify hours by Earning and time period: • Select the earning(s) to associate with the Group and click to move your selection(s) to the right side of the page. |

• Select the desired time period from the drop-down. If Current Month, indicate if there is an average range. |

If Yes, enter the look back period. |

If Prior Month, indicate if there is an average range. If Yes, enter the look back period If Current Year, indicate if there is an average range. If Yes, enter the look back period. |
Employee Home State or ProvinceYou may select which states or provinces to associate with the Group. |

Selecting the States or Provinces check box includes all employee states/countries/provinces/US Possessions in the group. |

You may click to expand the list and select individual states, etc. to include in the group. |
|
Active StatusYou may include active or inactive employees (or both) in the group. |

Review CriteriaAfter entering the desired criteria for the Group, click to review your selections. Click to store your new group.
Once you create Benefits Groups you can assign them to Benefit Rules. |
To edit an existing group, click in the plan row to display the group details and make your changes. Click to undo any changes.
To delete a group, click in the plan row. The system will request confirmation.
