Training – Mass Update

 

This function is designed to assist authorized users in updating employee training records when multiple employees complete the same training course.

The wizard includes three processing steps:

1. Select the applicable Training No and provide the details of the training.

2. Select the employees

3. Update the employee training records

 

 

 

After Division selection, the system displays the Training Details page.

1. Training Details

Training No

Select the desired Training No from the drop-down.

 

Note

Selections in the drop-down reflect the training records already defined in Vision’s Training Master.  If the desired training is not available for selection, you must first create a new Vision Training Master record.

 

Training Date

Displays the Current Date by default.  You may enter a different date directly in the field or select it from the pop-up calendar.

Expiration, Warning and Renewal

These dates (if any) reflect the default number of months after the Training Date as defined in the Configuration function.  You may enter a different date directly in the field or select it from the pop-up calendar.

Instructor, Location (optional)

If desired, enter the instructor’s name and the training location.

Training Hours

Enter the number of hours of training.

CEU’s (Continuing Education Units)

The company’s or external professional organization’s measure of participation in this continuing education program.

(Example:  If 10 hours of training = 1 CEU, an hour of training would then = .1 CEU)

Cost $ (optional)

If desired, enter the cost of the training per employee.  

(There is a maximum of five characters, including a decimal point if any.)

Certification Earned?

Check the box if the training qualified the employee for a particular license or accreditation.

Comments

If desired, enter any comments related to the training.

 

Use the Clear button to erase your entries and start over if needed.

Use the Next button to select employees for updating.

 

2. Select Employee(s)

Choose the employees from the list by checking the box next to the name (or Select All). You can filter through the employees by Active Employees only, All Employees or by Department. You can also sort the employees by Last Name, First Name or Employee No.

You must select at least one employee or the system will display an appropriate message.

Click Previous to return to the Training Details page.

Click Next to advance to the Summary page and update the employee training records.  If any employee selected has already been assigned this training on that date, the system highlights the employee in orange and displays an appropriate message.  You must unselect the highlighted employee before continuing.

 

3. Summary

The Summary page provides an opportunity to review your entries.

Click to update the employee training records.
