VIP Company Group Setup

When multiple, small companies reside at the same location, it is possible to use a single device (set up in Device Management) to record time and attendance transactions from employees of the different companies.  Val Link supports a Master/Slave concept, where one or more physical vPod devices (Masters) may be configured to support multiple slave (Virtual) devices.  Each virtual device is then assigned finger template IDs that associate employees with a specific company.  When an employee performs a punch, that template/punch is processed based on the company associated with that virtual device.

When using this option, allowing employees of multiple companies to punch on a common vPod device (master), the Portal Administrator must first create a Company Group.  This group contains the names of all the companies that will punch on a common master device.
